Solitude isn't something Maggie can fight, and her silence about her own issues and the secrets that seem to come with them won't help protect Jared. Jared is already carrying the weight of his family's broken reputation, and Trickster paints him as a lonely, unanchored figure. But the ferocity inside of her isn't always tempered by good sense, and she's not the one that has to bear the worst consequences. A cool mom who doesn't judge, who's on their team no matter what. All he knows is that this isn't the first time Maggie's caused a scene, and now she's attacked his customers. Jared's manager is furious in the aftermath. Wade is watching Jared as Maggie looks at him with dawning recognition and horror. It all comes to a head as Jared's working the night shift at his fast food job. Her rarely discussed mental illness seems to be peaking, as Jared's caught her talking to empty rooms in hushed, frantic tones. Wade is not only alive but back in town, and Maggie is distracted by her drug dealer's threats. Her loyalty is turned against her late in the series premiere. ![]()
